Values-Driven Discipleship is a practical guide to help implement teaching of the twelve core values introduced in The Values Driven Family. These core values are the heart of raising children who develop a Christ-like character.

The authors offer many suggestions on how to use this guide in family worship and Bible study time. They recommend focusing on positive factors because that "eliminates many negative behaviors and associated discipline on the back-end." Proactive pursuit of Godly character traits in children and in yourself will lead to fewer problems later.

The core values are separated into sections by tabs. Each section has sub-sections for further study, and the sub-sections are full of Scriptures that support the topic. The core values are faith, surrender, love, faithfulness, wisdom, self-control, righteousness, holiness, humility, diligence, generosity, and praise.

Recommendation: Values-Driven Discipleship is an excellent topical guide for family worship and Bible study time. Families accustomed to studying together will find it a very good resource, but families who are just getting started with family devotions will probably need more guidance than it offers.
