One of our patients came in yesterday and was showing us a homemade card her daughter had made for her son's bday party. It was so cute. I told her that I love making cards. She said her daughter was moving back this weekend. She's been in the military. She's been trying to find someone to scrap with, even trying to get her sisters to get started. She's a SU demo also. I gave the lady my name and phone number so I'm hoping we can start having some workshops and scrapping parties.

Wow that would be great! I enjoy doing my photo album scrapping so much more when I have another scrapper to work with.
I hope it works out for you, Lisa!

I remembered reading somewhere that you were thinking about it.

I just heard from Laura Jean that former demos can sign up for $35 right now. I may just do that so I can get some stuff at wholesale pricing.

I haven't yet. I'm still thinking about it. I'm just not sure that I can sell enough to fill the quota. I only know a couple of other ladies and my mom that would be interested and I'm not sure if they would be able to order from me regularly. I just got my catalog and omg....there are so many things I want!! I know you and Laura had mentioned the build a wheel. I'd love to see that in person to see what it's like. There are lots of good ideas for cards and scrapbook pages too.

I have a new catty, too, and there are SO many things in there I'd like, but I have to whittle the list down to reality.

It's fun to dream, though. ; )

I just went through and separated all my retired colors and realized I don't have hardly any of the new colors. I was sad to see first-hand how many colors I am missing, so I'm going to use up all my old stuff first before getting new colors and perhaps add one new color at a time, gradually over time.

I have the same problem you do, that's the main thing holding me back from signing up again, even at $35. I don't have time to do demos, just want to play. I'm probably just going to support Miss LauraJean right here, as she's been awesome to deal with and I'll just order a small party once in awhile with the help of a friend or two, to get some free stuff.

I did something dumb....I took my paper out of the plastic so now I don't even know what colors I have. The dr I work for gave me a $100 visa gift card today (late bday present), so I'm thinking about treating myself to some goodies.

You can look at the color chart. That's what I did to unpack some colored paper families I purchased just before I discovered the colors were retiring. That made it easy for me to sort them out.

WOW, that's a NICE gift from your boss! I'm sure you could order from Laura Jean's website, bless her & get a discount by doing that and get some cool stuff at the same time. ; )

The old catalogue should help you sort out your colors. I am familiar with all of the colors and can usually tell what they are, but every now and then, I have to double check the package or use the color coach. I usually leave my paper in the package for that very reason. One of these days, though, I am going to devise a filing system that I will actually like.

You have a very nice boss! Have fun with your *gift*. I know I could spend $100 in about 2 minutes - EASY!

to sign up to be a demo. If dh agrees, that is. I figured that would be a good way to spend my gift card. I'd only have to put in $75. There isn't a SU demo within an hr and a half from here so maybe I could do some good at it. I'm nervous but excited. I've never done anything like this. I'm nervous about hosting workshops. I'm not sure I'd do good enough at it. I read something about training videos. Do they give you tips on techniques? So if I do, I'll be getting in touch with you to sign up under you.
