I've only made my own Christmas cards once. I did two different designs using stamps. I colored in with colored pencils after I stamped them the way I wanted them.
In the end, one design turned out better, and easier to make.. so I stopped making the 2nd design and did the rest in the 1st design.
This year, I'll do just one design. It's too much work to try to do several. And I figure, I'm only sending one per household, so they'll only see one design anyway.
This year, I won't use stamps. I have an idea that I got out of a book, so I'll have to draw something up on the computer and print it off.
I tend to be more motivated to doing homemade ones if I don't make it too complicated... afterall, I'll be making 30 or so of the same thing.. and it will get to be not-so-fun after number 10! |
