My middle dd, who has struggled through the years to learn to read has finally picked something to read. The Twilight Books. Not my first choice for books to read, but she finished the entire set in less than 6 weeks. My 21yod read them with her and asked her questions, so I know she understood what she read.

Today we celebrate her success in passing her driver's permit test. She has tried to pass two other times and today was the day the Lord blessed her efforts.

I took 4 months off of school to focus on doing eye exercises and although we didn't do it for 6 months as was suggested, she made significant progress in her reading skills following the time we spent on exercises.

Just thought I'd post our success story here.

That is a huge deal. Tell your dd I am very proud of her hard work. When my son went through vision therapy we saw a world of change in many areas. If he had not done that he would not be driving today I'm sure. He reads now by choice. His writing could use some work, but he actually writes like his natural Dad so perhaps it would never have been different. It is a sign of hardwork and dedication to be where she is now. Good job to both of you!!!

Did you have to take her in weekly or otherwise for therapy or were you able to get your hands on the exercises to do at home w/o therapy?  I ask because a friend of mine has two dd's that need the therapy but she was turned to a book that has the exercises in it.  Rather than pay several thousand dollars for the therapy she's buying the $25 book and going to do it at home.

Congratulations to your dd!!!!  God is GOOD!

From what I understand a caution needs to be taken when doing the exercises to be certain you are doing the ones the eyes/brain really need or you can undo or cause additional trouble. Is there a way to know which ones are appropriate without the therapy? I know that the cost is very prohibitive. Worth it but often very difficult to cover at the time.
