Homeschooling Methods bills itself as "a homeschool convention in a book." Twenty veteran homeschoolers known for their support of particular methods provide overviews of ways to homeschool from a Christian perspective. Each article offers references to both the author's website and additional reading on the subject. Topics include the Classical Method, Principle Approach, Charlotte Mason Method, Unit Study Method, Unschooling, Whole-Heart Learning, Textbook teaching, Carschooling, and the Eclectic Method. A chapter on special needs introduces homeschooling the exceptional child.

Recommendation: Homeschooling Methods will be helpful to beginning homeschoolers who are unsure of the available options. While much of the information in the book can be readily found on the internet, the book makes a new homeschooling family's decisions a little easier by providing them with the basic options in one reference book.
