In Homeschooling for Eternity, author Skeet Savage shares the wisdom of her experiences and offers readers a tremendous dose of inspiration and encouragement. Finding herself in the position of a single homeschooling mother of six young children, she put aside her personal pain to focus on nurturing and providing for her children.
Skeet Savage breaks down many of the objections people have to homeschooling. She relates situations, such as a young homeschooling family whose mother died of cancer, that will help readers realize how blessed they are and how small their problems really are. Using Scripture and her experiences to make her points, the author shows that "training up a child" and particularly homeschooling are not only Biblically-mandated but crucial for Christian families.
Recommendation: Homeschooling for Eternity provides excellent guidance for new or prospective homeschoolers. For veteran homeschoolers it offers much appreciated positive words and reassurance. Skeet Savage's message is convicting and lets homeschooling parents know where they may be falling down on the job. With wisdom and Scripture, the author delivers a kick in the pants needed to get parents back on track. Homeschooling for Eternity is a book to savor through several readings.
