A Nonsense Rhyme to Help Remember Spanish Verbs

Written by Paula H. to help her son remember about a dozen verbs that are proving difficult.

(Please excuse my lack of accents.)

If you can poder, put it on a poner.
I like gustar; do you want querer?
I have a tener who has been haber.
He says decir when you see a ver.
Make a hacer and give it a dar.
You come venir and I'll go va.

If you don't know Spanish, let me explain. In my rhyme, the object of each verb is the definition of the verb.
gustar = to like
querer = to want
and so on.
