The Childhood of Famous Americans series was published from the 1940's through the 1960's. Each book has an easy-to-read story about a boy or girl who grows up to be famous as an inventor, statesman, nurse, doctor, explorer, or some other worthy occupation. Many of these titles are out-of-print, but a few have been reprinted by Patria Press as the Young Patriots series. Please check with Alibris, Amazon, and Barnes and Noble to find the out-of-print treasures and new re-prints.
