Scrapbooking

An Interview with Stacy K.

How did you get started?

I started when my daughter was 2 years old. A friend invited me to a scrapbooking class, and I was hooked.

What materials and costs are involved?

Materials range from cutting tools to stickers, paper, embellishments, etc. The cost? It really depends. THere are so many places these days from consultants to Ebay, that sell a wide variety of stuff. My advice would be to find a person that currently scrapbooks (which isn't that hard these days), and have that person show you. If someone is selling scrapbooking stuff, like a consultant from Creative Memories, you can go to that person's house for a small fee or for free and use their tools/equipment, while just using your own stickers, papers, and embellishments. I was able to get a lot of my "tools" for my birthday, anniversary, Mother's Day, etc. so my "cost" was minimal.

How does it bless you or others?

This hobby blesses my family and friends, and it also blesses other people by showing them how to preserve their memories. It is also a great way to have fellowship with other people, and even make it into a ministry.
