For you new folks, I thought I'd try to put together a page of abbreviations that are commonly used in our chatrooms and on our message boards so you won't feel lost! Please let me know if there are some that I need to add (email me: Mary Leggewie)

Forking, ¥ A practical joke made known to us by our resident Iowan, Lisa C. This is a mid-west version of "TP'ing" a house. Instead of decorating a house with toilet paper, plastic forks are planted in the yard. To create the matching symbol, hold down the alt key and type the number 165 at the same time. ¥
